The optimal team size is 4-5 people. With that size group it’s easy to get a table and you can usually fit in one car.
It’s also recommended to choose the teams at random. This provides an easy way to allow interaction between people who wouldn’t otherwise hang out together. (Y’all can eat with your little clicks the rest of the week).
Lunch of Fate is as fun as the contrast between restaurant choices. When there’s a chance that you’ll either go to a fast food joint or a fancy place with cloth napkins, you’ll see the excitement and/or terror in the eyes of your team while the wheel is spinning. If the wheel is full of only middle-of-the-road restaurants, everyone will be mildly happy, but the shared experiences will be less memorable. It’s also fun to pick a theme for the restaurants. You can get some inspiration by searching for what national day it happens to be. Whatever you choose, load up your Wheel of Fate with those restaurants.
Each team designates one player to spin the wheel to decide the fate of their next meal. All participants agree to go wherever the wheel lands. After all, this is "Lunch of Fate," not "Lunch of Only Nice Places I'm Willing To Go But If It's Gross, I'm Out."

It all started with a desire to cultivate conversation. It continues to snowball into a an increasingly chaotic source of shared experiences and stronger relationships.

It's really quite simple (until you get into the nuances of modifiers, and when they can be played, and understanding that playing one against another team can put a target on your back)
"Lunch of Fate is super fun! I look forward to it every week, and I've gotten to know so many of my co-workers. Like, seriously, I used to think they were all total losers, but now I genuinely appreciate them and I've become a better person by associating with people way below me."

"I love to eat so much. I don't care where we go. If there's food there, I'm in! And I love going with other people because we can talk about eating the food. I've also gotten way more understandable when I'm talking while there's still food in my mouth. It's taken some practice, but I'm getting quite articulate."

"Ever since my company started Lunch of Fate, I've gotten to know the others on my team really well. I like most of them. But I do kind of dread getting put on the same team with that guy Chad. Bro talks with his mouth full all the time and it's totally ick."

"Before Lunch of Fate was introduced at our business I had major anxiety about eating with other people. Some of them eat with their hands like neanderthals. I mean, come on, is it that hard to use a fork and knife to eat your sandwich? Anyways, my therapist encouraged me to go along with it all, and I've made major progress. That is to say, I'm ok with other people eating with their hands. But you'll never see me touch that pizza."

"Life in the slammer has never been better since the warden instituted Lunch of Fate every Thursday. Sure, it would be nice if there was more than just the mess hall and the vending machine on the Wheel of Fate, but I can't complain. Also, those modifiers are legit valuable. Last week I traded a Veto card for two packs of cigs and chisel!"
